Science Festival 2016 from Saturday 8 to Saturday 15 October at CEEBIOS, former district Ordener, 6/8 rue des Jardiniers.
Organized by the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research, the 26th edition of Science Day will take place this year from October 8 to 15, on Senlis.
To better understand science and its challenges, to share knowledge and to better understand the world around us, this meeting is an unforgettable one from the beginning.
Exhibitions, photo contests, academic, inventive and playful scientific workshops, screening at Senlis cinema, a varied program will charm all audiences and all ages...
– Photo exhibition :
This year again, on the occasion of Science Day, the City of Senlis and Ceebios will combine the national theme "Life cycle" with that of biomimetism.
The photographs of the participants in this "Cycle of Life" Photo Contest will be exhibited in the exceptional setting of the former Ordener quarter ride, today the CEEBIOS (European Centre for Biomimetics of Senlis).
On the occasion of this exhibition, a playful questionnaire adapted to adults and children is given to visitors, who will have to find the answers by carefully observing the photos of the exhibition.
For the Photo Contest, a jury, made up of experts, will nominate the winners: the Young Public Prize and the Adult Prize and 1 prize "Coup de coeur" who will be awarded their award on Saturday, October 15, 2016.

As part of the Science Festival, the City of Senlis invites you to (re)be a walk in the Ordener district and its history.
In partnership with the Tourist Office, a guided tour will allow you to rediscover this other Senlisian heritage which has had 140 years of military presence, and which gradually resumes life through the center dedicated to Biomimetism.
In addition, the visit will be accompanied by a quick presentation of the project and its state of development.

– Exhibition of the Association des Artistes Indépendants Senlisiens (ADAIS) on the theme "Life cycle" :
Enter the vision and thought of multidisciplinary artists. Their works will make you travel in the 2D or 3D and who knows, propel you into the 4D! Performances will take place throughout the event highlighting the life cycle of works. The theme will be illustrated by graffiti and painters through a fresco of 7 to 10 m live. Free spaces will be made available for spontaneous creations by the public.
